A Tri-County City Made It On The Top 10 Happiest Places in South Carolina
By Jeff Cook | May 4th, 2016
A career website called Zippia recently researched close to 100 cities in South Carolina to find out which place is the happiest. Some of the criteria Zippia used included employment, commute, cost of living and homeownership. While Five Forks in the upstate received the top honor, Mt. Pleasant was ranked second of the happiest cities in South Carolina.
Even though no other tri-county states were in the top 10, quite a few made it onto the full list. The safest city in South Carolina, Hanahan, ranked 32nd of happiest cities. Also from the safest city list were Goose Creek at 12 and Summerville at 30. Charleston ranked 40th while North Charleston ranked 77th.
According to Zippia, 66.9% of the 72,379 population in Mount Pleasant own their own home. Since Mount Pleasant is the second happiest place in the state, I’m wondering why more residents aren’t planting permanent roots. Would you like to buy in Mount Pleasant but you aren’t sure where to start? Give us a call!
